With a strong and smooth Shimano E5000 drive unit paired to a high-quality aluminium frame with semi-integrated 504 Wh battery, it delivers reliable performance whether you’re on the way to work, returning from the shops or just checking out new parts of town. Thanks to equipment such as mudguards, lights, kickstand, lock and rack as standard, plus quality brakes, drivetrain and suspension, it’s ready to go from the moment you leave the shop.
The eSPRESSO L range is the perfect partner for urban riding, offering comfort and practicality. Standard-fit mudguards, lights, lock, rack and kickstand mean you’re ready to go from the moment you leave the shop. Choose between frames with internally mounted batteries of either 750 Wh, 630 Wh or 504 Wh capacity or a more economical, 504 Wh semi-integrated design. All use a range of powerful Shimano STEPS drive units, with the option of the sporty EP8 motor on some models. Low step-through frame options on all models help ease mounting and dismounting. Suspension forks offer improved control, while powerful hydraulic disc brakes give reliable and controllable stopping power in all weather conditions. The 700c wheels have wide 50 mm tyres for extra grip and comfort, plus reflective sidewalls strips improve rider safety in low light. Internally routed cables give a sleek look, while a 150 kg maximum system weight means plenty of carrying capacity.

Performance:
With lightweight alloy wheels, we’ve made pedalling easier; professional bike riders insist on them so why shouldn’t our kids too! And the smooth, faster-rolling tyres don’t wear little legs out so quickly – as opposed to regular BMX kids bikes that have wide tyres with big knobs that most kids struggle to get going on. At just over 8kgs, the E-350 is approximately 30% more efficient than comparative kids bikes.
Safety:
To make a children’s bike safe, the rider needs to be able to brake efficiently and confidently. On the front we have used an alloy side pull calliper for developing immediate hand control, and at the rear a coaster brake for simple and safe foot braking.
We have used alloy front and rear callipers with light action for superior control and a simple and safe coaster style foot brake. The best of both worlds we believe. The custom-sized V-Brakes we have used are calibrated for age, ability and ergonomic fit. And they are made of non-flexing, strong and light alloy. Our light weight alloy rims ensure pedalling is easier. But more importantly alloy rims are a more efficient braking surface than cheaper, chrome-plated steel rims, and are therefore safer.

Design:
The E-200L frame offers an earlier starting age for learning bikes with a low-slung design. The longer wheelbase allows for more knee clearance and more predictable handling. Added to these virtues is a Free XL seat post for bigger riders – it can be easily swapped over as the rider skills and confidence grow for a taller seat height and increased leg room. And the adjustable saddle is ergonomically positioned on the bike to balance the rider’s weight – making it safe and efficient.

Merida Big Trail 400
- While clearly a trail loving long-travel hardtail, our new BIG.TRAIL also offers built-in versatility through hidden rack, fender and kick stand mounts in case you like to turn the BIG.TRAIL into a ‘SUV’ commuter.
- Ability to fit two water bottles into the frame without making the bottles difficult to reach. Perfect for long marathon races and extended trail sessions.
- Our BIG.TRAIL rolls on 29er wheels and has tyre clearance for up go 2.5″ trail tyres. The combination of 29er wheels and 2.5″ tyres offer plenty or corner and climbing grip, while the big tyre volume and the 29er ‘rolling over ability’ give our trail hardtail extra comfort and stability.
- The new ‘Trail Mount’ is positioned underneath the top tube/seat tube junction and these ingenious fixing points makes fitting an additional tool or a pump a breeze. We feature internal cable routing on all models. Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. A long reach, paired with a slack 65.5° head angle and a steep seat angle make our BIG.TRAIL a solid descender even when the trail is littered with roots and rocks, while maintaining impressive climbing abilities, due to the central seating position over the bottom bracket. The extra short seat tube and low stand over hight help to create lots of space to manoeuvre the bike when the trail gets demanding but also allow for long travel dropper posts.
Most models offer Boost technology at the front and rear. The shallower axle standard of 110 mm (front) and 148 mm (rear) allows for a wider spoke angle, resulting in a stiffer and stronger wheel, hugely beneficial on these bikes given the impacts they endure. The BIG.TRAIL 200 has 100 mm fork spacing.

Merida Big Seven 20-2x
- The Merida Big Seven 20 Mountain Bike is an affordable hardtail with design and spec built for an all-round ride. The lightweight Big Seven Alloy frame is durable and easy to control for a simple and comfortable ride. It runs a 2×8 speed Shimano Drivetrain which is more than capable when it comes to those hard climbs as it rolls with smooth efficiency and clean gear changes. The Suntour XCT30 HLO Fork with 100mm travel and lockout is in the sweet spot for fun and adventure, enough to handle the rough stuff yet still gives you an agile ride.
- It wouldn’t be the Big Seven without 27.5″ Merida CC Wheels and 2.2″ Tyres for a dynamic ride that is better suited to smaller riders. Ride with confidence, hitting every descent or turn hard thanks to the reliable Shimano Hydraulic Disc Brakes which give you excellent braking control. When compared to the lower end Big Seven 15, you get a simplified 2×8 drivetrain instead of 3×8, as well as a better fork and minor spec improvements across the bike. The Merida Big Seven 20 is an entry-level bike with a relatively lively and agile feel for an enjoyable ride that is comfortable on or off-road.

- Merida use a minimum of 6061 aluminium. The pay back is that it’s possible to make lighter and more advanced frames. Merida use an additional heat treatment and double-butted wall thicknesses to produce light and stiff frames.
- Technoforming is a mechanical forming process, shaping the tubes by using negative moulds, at times combined with an internal metal core.
